In The Beginning...
While there are multiple theories to how the universe was created, the most well known theory is the "Big Bang Theory" and while this theory is debatable there are also more theories to the creation of the universe as well. Another origin story of the universe is that God created man and the universe we all live in, and while biblical evidence is hard to come by; it's still a theory regardless. While these are both popular theories, I find it interesting that some believe the biblical origins of the theory that God created man and the universe. While there's nothing wrong with believing in it; it becomes hard to have evidence along with facts about this theory. This theory however begs the question: if God created everything, did he also intend to create evolution as well? It seems to me that it's possible but there's no hard evidence to back this theory up. While there are also many other theories these two seem to be the most popular. Both could be debatable and up for arguments but that is for another day.

ReplyDeleteI like your blog a lot! I am currently taking a physical geology class and I just learned about the Big Bang Theory which is pretty cool, I like how you've decided to argue between the scientific kind of way and the Bible. It makes the topic very interesting and informational.
I grew up in the Catholic church and my parents made me go to catholic school until I graduated high school and this is what really steered me away from the church. I just don't see how anyone could believe in this supreme being creating everything just because he was bored or something. I see their side of the argument though, I'm certainly not one who will ever think differently of someone because of their religion, I respect everyone's decision in all that. But it really did irk me how many teachers in my school swore by the creation story in the Bible as being fact, but that's all it is though is a story! Great article and I can't wait to read more, I love Astronomy so much!
ReplyDeleteI can understand on levels of evidence when it come to the theory of the creation of the universe. I also like to look and analyze a few things when it comes to astronomy. I won't lie, I don't really know much. But I'm sure if i keep up with this blog, I will know more than I know ^.^.
